Steve Ballmer announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that Microsoft will release a series of Windows Phone 7 updates over the next few months.
These updates include adding the copy-and-paste feature and improving the phone’s performance when loading or switching between applications.
Steve Ballmer also announced some great facts and figures about Windows Phone 7. There are currently around 5,500 apps available on the Marketplace and 100 new apps are added every 24 hours by over 22,000 registered developers. Most customers are downloading a new app every day.
The new version of Microsoft Surface was also launched today – four inches thick and with the largest ever gorilla glass display.
Created in partnership with Samsung, the Samsung SUR40 for Microsoft Surface is a major step forward from the earlier version and can recognise fingers, hands, and objects.
