3 games that will help get you in shape this summer

Imagine, if you will, what it’s like to be Australian. Sure, they’re the only ones likely to live if George Bush and Vladimir Putin decide to play with their big toys, but it’s far from a perfect life. They have to put up with the British harping on about all of them being the offspring of convicts, and tolerate the Americans not being able to tell they aren’t from England, and in fact have their own island on the otherside of the world.
Added to this is the problem of having Christmas at the height of the summer season. Whilst the idea of having a Christmas BBQ on a beach during a cloudless day might seem appealing to those fed up with waking up to an drizzly overcast morning, there’s a great secret hidden underneath the oversized jumpers and massive coats those in cold climates have to wear over the festive period; it hides the weight gain.
If though, like me, you’re notoriously lazy, then you might be in sudden panic right about now, as now you have to shed the coats and sweaters, putting your winter weight gain on general display. Fear not though, as we’ve invented our own weight loss program, designed around three great games. Simply follow these instructions and you’ll be a size zero in no time*

Unreal Tournament: 2004

An intense, fast-paced online game will often leave you full of adrenaline. If you’re feeling lethargic and exercise sounds unbearable, energise yourself by nipping on the web for a quick round and you’ll soon be digging out those running trainers.

Rainbox Six Vegas

Following the theory that you should watch inspiring movies the night before a morning run, Rainbow Six’s intense action will make you feel guilt about your comfortable lifestyle. After a couple of hours crawlnig about and rappelling down walls, pigging out seems plain wrong.

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl

As well as acting as the age-old game fat reducer – distracting you so you forget to eat – Stalker tends to turn you off the idea of eating altogether. See how appealing food seems after you’ve spent hours searching through radioactive trash.
