Excellent article. I too tried the windows defragmenter about a month after buying my computer and it took forever,at least it seemed that way. My solution was to go to the new Diskeeper 2007. It's made to work with Vista and boy does it ever. You never have to think about defragmenting again after you set it up. It works on the fly! The only reason I ever go into the program is to reassure myself it is working. I then do an analysis and always find it is almost completely defragmented, maybe 1 or 2 files are out of order it hasn't gotten to yet. What a pleasure this application is.

You can also use the keyboard shortcut. Click on a blank space of the desktop then hit the ALT + F4 combination and down arrow to shutdown.

The part about the Shutdown button confused me when i first started to press it and it went to sleep. I have changed it to shut down and feel better. I also installed a shutdown gadget on the sidebar.
