Tweak the Start Search feature in Windows Vista Ultimate to seriously speed up your browsing
By James Stables on 16 May 2008
When you want to load up a web page loading your browser, clicking the navigation bar and typing in the URL seems like the natural thing to do.
However, this series of clicks and loading seriously slows down your computing- so save yourself time with this easy Windows Vista Ultimate trick.
You can set Start Search to automatically use Google’s I’m Feeling Lucky search, which automatically opens the first website in search query. When you type www.windowvistamagazine.com there is only one option, and the page will automatically be displayed.
Being able to just hit the Windows key, and type an address to display a page is far quicker than loading a page first and then typing the URL, and can save you some serious time.
Check out this excellent guide on how to tweak Windows Vista Ultimate to power your searches.
