Microsoft Money 2005 & Windows 7
By billytomak on 08 November 2009
I've been using Micrsoft Money for years now with XP and Vista and had vey few problems. Now I've loaded Windows 7 (dual booting with Vista)and re installed Money on W7, but cannot restore my backup files from Vista. Nor can I update Money in Windows 7. I suspect the update site has either moved or been discontinued.
I've even edited the W7 register to refer all entries to the Vista installation of money, but then I get errors relating to checksum files.
Moey does run on W7, but it's not the updated version ie: 14....1105.
I'm now at a loss as to what to do next. I know Micrsoft has stopped supporting the UK version, but when they change their operating system you would expect them to provide some support for their own applications.
If anyone else has had similar problems or has solutions I would be pleased to hear about them
